Welcome to Badgers class
Welcome to Badgers Class – our brilliant Year 2 learners!
In Badgers, children continue their learning journey through the final year of Key Stage 1, growing in independence, confidence, and curiosity. This is a year where we build on everything learned in Reception and Year 1, deepening our knowledge and developing key skills in reading, writing and maths—alongside lots of exciting topics in science, history, geography, and more!
Our classroom is a supportive, lively place where children are encouraged to ask questions, try their best, and celebrate each other’s successes. We promote a positive, kind and respectful environment where everyone can feel proud to be part of our school community.
Badgers are fantastic role models. We start to take on more responsibility, both in our learning and around school, helping to prepare us for the next step in our journey.
We know that learning doesn’t just happen in school, and we really value the support of our families. Practising reading daily, talking about learning at home, and engaging with home tasks all make a big difference. We’ll keep in regular contact to share your child’s progress, and we always welcome your involvement.
We’re looking forward to a fantastic year ahead with our amazing Badgers!
