At Berkley, we believe that helping children grow into kind, confident and responsible individuals is just as important as academic learning. Through every part of school life, we support children’s personal and social development—helping them learn how to care for themselves, build positive relationships, and develop important life skills.
We talk openly and sensitively about growing up, health and emotions in ways that are appropriate to each child’s age and stage. Our PSHE curriculum includes relationship and health education, which are now a compulsory part of the school curriculum. As children get older, we also introduce age-appropriate lessons around body changes and personal safety.
